SOYER STUD WELDING GUNS

Soyer Stud Welding produces the most complete line of stud welding products in the world. The modular design concepts used by the engineers at Soyer allow different guns to be used with stud welding power sources to achieve the most reliable results with the most economical equipment. If you look at the specifications of the stud welding systems, you will see that most of them can use several guns. For instance, with Capacitor Discharge (CD) stud welding there are two methods that are used, gap and contact. The gap method produces better welds on some applications, but may be difficult to set up initially. The contact method works well on most applications and is easy to set up, however it may not weld as well as a gap system on some materials. Most CD systems support both contact and gap methods. Also, there are other options such as a mechanical lift gun or an electronic lift gun. Southern Stud Weld technicians will work with you to determine what equipment would work best for your application.

PH-3A Drawn Arc Stud Welding Gun

The PH-3A weld gun is the automatic loading version of the PH-3 lift ignition gun. The operator can load studs into the feed tube or the gun can be loaded via the universal feeder UVR-250S or the new UVR-300S.  This gun produces the smooth lift function required to weld drawn arc and short-cycle drawn arc weld studs to steel and stainless steel base materials. This gun uses the BWS-1 Quick-Change system and is easily converted to different diameter and length weld studs. The air-flow of the feeding system also cools the stud holder during operation.

PH-3A Specifications
Weld Range: #6 - 1/2" (M3-M12)
Material: Steel, stainless steel, and heat resistant steel
Welding system: Drawn arc and short-cycle. Lift infinitely variable up to 5mm max. Additional adjustment with other options installed.
Welding and control cable: 9 ft (3M) highly flexible
Total length with gas shroud, (standard equipment): approx. 11" (290mm)
Weight: 2.9 lbs (1.3kg)

PH-2L Drawn Arc Stud Welding Gun
