GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR ARC WELD STUDS

ARC Studs are available in many different sizes, from a base diameter of 3/16" to 1", and from a length of 3/4" to 5 ". Standard material for ARC Studs are Low Carbon Steel and 302/304/305 Stainless. Aluminum and other grades of Stainless Steel are available. Low Carbon Steel can be annealed to a maximum of 75 Rockwell B and Stainless Steel can be annealed to a maximum of 90 Rockwell B. The Weld Base on 1/4" diameter and over ARC studs have solid flux, diameters under 1/4" are standard pointed and flux is optional. ARC Stud length designations are BEFOREWELD.
AFTERWELD length designations are as follows:

• 3/16" thru 1/2" studs - approximate reduction is 1/8"
  
• 5/8" thru 7/8" studs - approximate reduction is 3/16"
  
• 7/8" and over studs - approximate reduction is 1/4"
  
• 1/8" Wide Rectangular Studs - approximate reduction is 1/8"
  

All orders include Ferrules when they are required. Ferrules are component parts of studs that help direct and contain the metal splatter and are not sold separately. External threads adhere to the UNC-2A standard prior to plating and internal threads adhere to the UNC-2B standard prior to plating. Metric and other thread sizes are available.
